I think the point is why don't those two LI teams play a "friendly" and settle it on the field. It will have the added benefit of preparing them for the end of year showcase... They would rather blow hot air at each other.

If your player is at GDA age you should know exactly why. This is business. How would that game be good for business? It is not.

Slicing and dicing all the kids into as many teams and leagues as possible benefits the business. Every club and leagues can make and market any claims they want on and on and on. Never playing means there is no ammunition available to possibly damage reputations or business.

The market looks exactly this way because the customers demand it. there have to be lots and lots of elite roster spots for the dozens upon dozens of elite players to fill.
