Then don't bash the players and don't comment on their abilities particularly in cyberspace behind a keyboard.

Why is it so hard for parents to admit that they're kid isn't as good as others they're trying to compete with and against??? I'll agree that soccer is subjective, but sometimes it's pretty obvious too if you take the rose colored glasses off!

You couldn't pay my kid to play for any one of those Alby teams!!! You can't be serious with that *your kid isn't good enough* crap. Come on now!

Different poster....because there's too many GDA clubs and not enough quality players that want it clubs have had to resort to taking players they normally wouldn't were there fewer teams. If LI only had one club instead of 3 actual then competition for spots would amp up the roster quality and competitiveness.

I'm sure you shi# on this comment but I know several GDA players who weren't even on their HS varsity teams. Don't you think the supposed top league in the area should have players who aren't JV level?

How will this work with HS? They were told they can play HS, I think. Crazy.

You can’t play HS and GDA, your scenario is impossible to prove wrong.

The poster meant that the players had not made varsity before they played GDA.

And that is not completely true...those few that the club cares about are allowed to play HS and then "join" the GDA after HS season is done. Another loophole that pisses off the other players who both gave up HS and then also lose playing time in the GDA when the favored ones return.

OP here and that is what I meant. GDA has some great players but also has a lot of players who couldn't even make a varsity or ECNL roster, or got no playing time. The other post above is also true - desperate clubs let the studs play HS then return once HS is done. Sleazy but still within GDA rules. A good club won't allow it beyond legit private school waivers. It works easily here where high school is a fall sport.

What is sleazy is that you complain about this behind your teammates backs. But act like best friends in front of their face. Called 2 face.

If the other players wanted to play HS and did not, why? Do the same thing and join late or play on a different team. Why would a kid give up HS soccer if they don't want too? For what? Only give it up if that is what the player wants.

Gda is great for players that have no interest in HS soccer or for those that want to join the team late.

Maybe they did not understand that playing HS and joining late was even allowed. Maybe this year, they will k ow to do the same if they want.

Haha this HS complainer is back. Worry about nobody wants to play with your daughter because you have taught her to be a complainer just like you. The only reason your daughter is not playing high school is because the program at your school is aweful. That’s what you say anyone who will listen. So go sell your bs somewhere else.

That’s what was discussed at our team meeting. HS here we come.
