Last night at practice, there was a NYCFC corporate guy there to talk to the girls, he said that NYCFC is 100% behind the NYCFC/WC partnership, and that NYCFC is going to introduce a professional Women’s team, that will compete in the NWSL!!!

That’s awesome. My kid is in ECNL on a different club, but that would be great for women’s soccer. Would be nice to see RedBulls takeover SkyBlue and do it right. A few more MLS teams stepping up to build women’s soccer would be outstanding. I for one hope it’s true and wish them the best!

sounds like bs...and not sure how the finances would work....mls can barely give tickets away for the mens games!!!!!! ive never seen a packed stadium for redbulls or nycfc or cosmos!!!

NYCFC has always said that once the stadium situation is solved, they would be looking to develop a women’s program. We’ve been hearing rumors for months now that the stadium is on the near horizon, so why wouldn’t they be staying connected to WC. Wishing the best for girls soccer

not to be a party pooper...but lots of people say this/that....the reality is unless you own a private soccer club and/or you are a US National Team Player.....THERE IS NO MONEY IN SOCCER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Article dated 2015 addressed how professional women in individual sports (tennis [not just doubles], bowling, golf, UFC, track, etc.) were more successful than professional women team sports. WNBA star Diana Taurasi (UConn - of course) made $107,000 playing WNBA and $1.5 million in Russia.
