[QUOTE=Unregistered;2468153]And yet, NO yellow cards we issued, strange. Better get ready for more of that next year NYCFC girls, as the ECNL is the more brawn than brains league....[/QUOTE
I don’t think there is any difference in the soccer between a GDA game and an ECNL game. In fact the only difference I may see is that because the talent is so extreme from the best to the worst players on a GDA team, those games may actually be more physical.

This thread has become so boring. I miss the laughs all of the ENCL/GDA debates that used to go down in here.
Come back funny people, come back

But I do agree GDA this year is a mess. Last year, there were many teams that were very good because USSF wanted all, if not most, of all YNT's in the league. Many teams, in particular the older ones, followed this. This year, many older top kids that hadn't graduated, went to ECNL. It's hard to watch most games.
Even ECNL isn't great anymore either. All the leagues are a mess.

Your used to NE soccer. Many times it's mostly physical than skill.

Very true. The talent is spread too thin. GDA adding more clubs this year, as well as expanding the age groups is going to weaken the pool even more. Our kids need to find teams that challenge them and supports their growth, and we as parents need to stop chasing the badges they wear. If your daughter is not consistently called into NT camp, it’s not happening for her. In NY we have two players who have a shot at the NT pool, and they are off to Penn State in the next year or two.

Even if your player is in contention don't go to a ECNL club just because it has the badge. There are NT players that did not do ECNL and are glad of it. Some of the clubs have no business being in the league. Go for the best coaching no matter what patch is on the sleeve.
