Last years NYCFC u19 team was pretty good, and as a members of one of the younger teams, we were all surprised, and honestly disappointed that our oldest team had bagged on the playoffs. Some of the better players had commitments to their schools to come-in early, but that is just 1-2 of them, the core could of gone. At this age group is everyman for himself, as everyone has their own singular agenda.

No clue why you would be disappointed.

NY graduations are late June during the playoffs and finals, Asking a senior to miss her HS graduation is ridiculous. It is also crazy to ask players to not take their Regents exams.
US Soccer does not care about East Coast Girls

There is no formula for this. Some of the kids you would have bet your house on at u15 are non longer playing. Some you did not bet on are. Some have lived up to the hype and some have not. Its the same everywhere.
point is that coaching staff are more than capable of getting you where you want to go no matter what league or club they are affiliated with.
