Larry M says that NYCFC are the authors of that release, which tells me they still don’t give a crap about the girls, and like the previous poster said, BRANDING 101.

Press release was issued by NYCFC, not Kaz/WCFC.

Since World Class Fees were lower than NYCFC fees of $3000, I am guessing you're going to have reasonable tuition

We left NYSC GDA paying over $5000 per player for World Class FC ECNL, paying less than $2500 a player with a family discount. We get so much more at that we don't even mind going over the bridge 3 times a week

Yes, the old bridge terrors that NYSC parents whisper to each other, as a way to keep their top talent from fleeing. Can it be a pain occasionally, yes. Is the extra $15 a week worth it? Damn right, it’s a whole new world to play teams like PDA, Stars, and CFC.

Surprised that no one has mentioned this, but I think this is huge news from NYCFC/WC. Its basically saying you can have the best of both worlds, hahaha....or not, depends...

I think it is basically NYCFC trying to save face and discard girls soccer at the same time.

Yeah, I am a living skeptic, so we shall see, their track-record is not great this season....

Manage your expectations and you will not be so disappointed all the time. Girl soccer is great but it is of interest mainly to the players, their families and the staff. MLS cubs are not focused on girls soccer and the girls will always be a distant second fiddle to the boys if they are even on the radar at all.

I dislike managing my expectations, because I am going bribe someone along the way, simple.

Oh the girls teams are on the radar, just a little outside of the middle, are you blind???

They are a lot outside of the middle. The boys teams are fully funded.

                              Absolutely spot on.

There's a reason few MLS clubs got involved with GDA - there's little benefit to them as there's no money in women's soccer or even much of a pro path for women. No way they'd fund it either. They baulk at funding the boys teams. They get maybe one home grown player every few years and they can't substantially profit from them even when they do.
