I know a lot of people with a lot of complaints about youth soccer. The success in failure of the NT is not high on the list of issues for families trying to manage the club soccer journey.

I really think that if US soccer wanted to put out the best possible product on the field, they would focus on a way to get the best players in, no matter finances and have a tuition free regional program, where coaches were focusing on the same thing in each region and then taking the beat from each region to funnel into the NT. With GDA and ECNL teams costing approximately $10,000 with everything included, we will never get the best product on the field. This is why the MLS clubs are leaving. They are doing their part to get the best players, but US Soccer isn’t helping

If you are talented, there is a path to be found and there is even a path to help with those costs.
No reason why the same path can't be used and the cream rises to the crop.

Do you mean the target market for the gda is aspiring NT players? I don't see that personally. There a small number of NT level players and the chances that the ones with the talent and drive to ultimately triumph will coincidentally be the same ones in the right locations with the right size bank accounts and with the personal travel assistants available for service seem pretty iffy.

People complain about how it's 'watered down' - but how else to find every player unless you put some clubs in an area to find them?
People complain they don't get the best players - but they can't make clubs, and by extension parents, to buy in because they are bragging about the wins and losses only.
Money is and will always be a problem, but there are scholarships available and I can guarantee you if there was a true NT level player, any club would find a way to take them on.
All can be overcome, and the system is already here to do it. But, instead, we'll have pages upon pages from clubs/members posting about all the ills about the system. Then, they'll turn around and say we need the same system....
