So yes, obviously they are out. Anything else discussed?

    Reasons?
Assume they are finishing out Spring?
Did they did they talk about plan going forward?

Yes, they will finish the spring season.

As far as the plan goes, it’s business as usual. He stressed that tryouts will be much tougher, as they are going to merge the teams, aka you better impress this spring, or you are headed to the NPL teams, aka ECNL2.

One oddity, the name of the club is in flux, it might be called NYCFC/WORLD CLASS, which I personally find stupid, no upside to keep pro team name.

It should just be world class since nycfc has no interest in girls side

Does it have to do with the boy's side?

That is sad. There is some good competition in the NE conference in ecnl if that is any consolation.

And that is not to promote ecnl over gda in any way. Who cares. Just saying there is good competition there.

                Where to go from here

                Where to go from here-
My kid is playing da this year for the first time. She is a tweeter. What I mean is she would be a top player in a weaker league but is a weaker player in da.

Since the fall season began, she has improved substantially. ( Her improvement has been noted by others ) and objectively she has passed several players on the team.
However, she is not getting playing time with her team and I don’t see that ever changing due to factors inside the club beyond her control. The way she has been treated and used in the off season has not changed and just substantiates this.

Not sure where to go from here next year. There will always be a shiny new toy and it seems that the club does not reward hard work.

There are few great options in girls soccer and lots of toxicity. Honestly, to get thought it without constant frustration, I think you need to lower your expectations and standards. Might sound like a cop out but it is tough to find a great situation.

Exactly, we were laughing about it last night, why would you ever want to remind the families of THAT history, as its impossible to look into without some former of regret.

As your daughter has improved so have her teammates. While many teams/clubs have some politics and their share of bad coaches, most times you can't blame your kids lack of PT on that. Usually it's because they aren't working hard enough or improving faster than the rest. Get on the phone, get her to other practices and try and find a better fit. Stop blaming others.

They're dropping all involvement with the girls so using the name is absurd. WC needs to build it's own brand name.

my daughter is 01 that is graduating in the spring. But I want to say that we had nothing but great times with NYCFC. Last year was a whirlwind, so much hype, so much doubt, but the idea was embraced by just enough quality players, that the club was respected nationally, as we had our games aired twice live on YouTube. Like I said our adventure is ending soon, and we (my kid) regret nothing. I should not speak for others, as I am sure there is some discontent, so it was great while it lasted...

Not so sure, he hinted to their continued involvement.

The pity party needs to end. Sounds like all got a great soccer experience for a few seasons. That is more then most will ever get so stop whining.
