How big is each roster for each age group? How many kids actually tried out?

Kaz does like to keep his rosters low, no doubt about it. Most teams have 15-16 players with half of the teams carrying 2 goalies. It does get tricky when there are injuries, but everyone is assured great minutes in each game. The problem is the talent that the team attracts. Other than the 03 team, they just aren’t attracting any talented players.

World Class, which Kaz also runs, has a very similar policy in taking players. Overloading rosters doesn’t help anyone. The younger teams usually carry 16 at the start of the season which leaves room for adding players mid season. With the ECNL teams, they may card some players from their NPL teams into their ECNL rosters, which may be the reason some rosters may appear to have more listed

Until it’s too late. It’s like getting a degree from school and finding out afterwords nobody wants to hire you. You can’t go back to complain to your professor.

Not true. Stats are out there from a school to be seen, plus Alum networks, career counseling office of the school, etc.
It depends on your major, grades, etc. It is somewhat under your control. You don't interview with a college and they promise you a job when you graduate.

Ok Professor. We are talking about not being able to complain to your soccer trainer/club when you don’t get into a school because you really learned nothing after all the years of paying for all the high quality sessions. But you won’t have realized it until it’s to late to do anything about it.

If this is true, kudos to Kaz. It's very easy for clubs to max out rosters just for the money. My kids current team has 20+ players and keeps adding more.

Is this true that their 18/19 roster is full of mostly 99's and 00's THIS year?? Yikes! No wonder they beat everyone ... why aren't these kids in college playing already?

If this is true, kudos to Kaz. It's very easy for clubs to max out rosters just for the money. My kids current team has 20+ players and keeps adding more.

I am not so sure I believe this .... looks like the boys sides at NYCFC have no issues overloading their rosters. Again, were the girls rosters small because of a choice by the club or lack of talent trying out? I would say the latter based on the all-important boys sides:
