So tired of hearing the same BS argument. As someone who has a daughter who has been in the ECNL and GDA I can tell you the cost is almost identical. (With the exception of Fury and Alby Fury which are both so much more).

The travel is almost identical, they both go to Florida for a showcase. In fact since the ECNL play more games, the travel expenses are probably more. The travel distance is also similar. I found that my daughter had more time for social activities since she didn't have to play two games every weekend.

Neither league is perfect, it depends on the club whether or not the training and atmosphere is productive.

Ok. Fine. No argument from me. The hope was that gda would be better and it is virtually identical with more missed school and higher costs by my calculation.. u think it is less but whatever. Disappointing for me. Glad your kid is enjoying it.

DA events tend to require two days of missed school, ECNL one. Depending on location you can likely drive to one ECNL event eg here we can drive to PDA. ECNL is now doing more regional events which makes a ton more sense for players and coaches. Flying across country to seen by an east coast school makes little sense. Fees are generally similar despite claims GDA would be lower. BDA clubs do a better job lowering fees plus there's all the free MLS clubs if you're good enough

Writing "Fact" at the end of an opinion based rant doesn't actually make it a fact. If there is a quote from Ellis or anyone even remotely affiliated with USSF, that states-"we are altering our uniforms to acknowledge gay pride because the majority of our fan base is part of the lgbtq community" then that would make your hate laden spew a fact.

Until then, go beg your imaginary friend in the sky to make sure your daughter is straight as an arrow!

Some clubs have little choice - they're locked out of ECNL and NPL isn't what it once was. Plus clubs won't act until they see they're losing more players than they gain. Some clubs might be in for a rude awakening at tryouts this spring.

"good enough" is laughable. There are far too many players that don't belong in what is supposed to be the superior league. Also, if your kid wants to play HS let them. As long as they're playing with a quality club it will have little impact on their college recruiting. The only kids who should be doing DA are the ones fully committed to it. They can't get those years back

Yeah ECNL and NPL teams have all the best coaches talent and competition and price lol
