Heath is the better player, just can’t stay off the injury list
Also 3 or 4 of her goals were against Mexico. Don’t know her assist stats against

Press is another one who deserves way more playing time
Lavelle also but she seems to be injured a lot also

Heath is a great player. No argument here. If she stayed healthy her goals scored would have been much higher.

I think Rapinoe is a good playmaker and works well with Morgan.

Also agree that Press is underrated. I thought she was the best US player in yesterday's game.

Really? I think Morgan is the most overrated athlete in any sport, currently playing. The amount of chances she blows far outweigh her success...but hey, she makes a good poster girl for the sport.

As far as Hinkle, two very different situations. Hinkle declined a roster spot because she didn't want to wear the team uniform. Period. She got another chance and wasn't selected. Great player in NWSL? Absolutely. Never know how she turned up to camp.

As soon as Megan Rapinoe declines a roster spot because she doesn't want to stand for the anthem, THEN and only then does your comparison hold any weight. For now, it doesn't. She knelt twice, months before the USSF instituted a "stand respectfully" policy. Now she stands.

I think it's past your bedtime. When your commanding officer says beat that person up and she doesn't but gets fired. You would say, that's what you get for disobeying a command. While I'd prefer teams not make statements, I also understand that sports teams/individuals can bring attention to social issues and effect change. Gay rights is something the majority of Americans support. The flag is about inclusiveness, something that should be "Christianly" (love everyone) but some Christian hypocrites seethe at it. If you can't get over a flag on your jersey, how do you feel about your many teammates who are gay?
