I can totally see ECNL announce the league, then strongly advocate for HS soccer, #noceiling, then do what they have always falsely done, say it’s about the customers...

Dont believe a bunch of crap from any soccer organization. Whatever league and club gets your player, try to use it to suit your purposes and not let it use you to suit it's purposes.

Thank you...given that it did not indicate that they were definitely staying in GDA, it sounds like the writing is on the wall and they are just figuring out the transition plan. It sucks for all of these kids.

it really doesn't if you focus on what is and has always been important. There si no change to the only piece that matters. The rest is all window dressing

as we all are. the only person that is is important is my kid. Those teams being in or out had zero impact on her. too many people look to too many external factors. BTW, how many girls does PDA have in the NT pool? The kids on those teams have no better chance of success than any one else and the odds of success for others who stayed in the GDA did not change because those teams left.

It may be the beautiful game but the games played by the leagues are anything but beautiful. Jedi mind games with families.

Clubs like NYCFC and NYSC play the right way, real soccer, on the ground, build-up, from the GK if necessary, find space, fight for the ball, and never quit. Ecnl does not play that style, and neither does 93% of women’s college soccer, it’s atrocious

Your negativity towards ECNL comes across so clearly. You must have had a daughter on a strong ECNL team where she got little time on the field. My guess is you blamed the coach instead of your daughters inability to keep up with the rest of her ECNL teammates. GDA came along, and due to the low numbers of ‘02 players, your daughter was picked up. Her team was damaged by injuries last year so she got a ton of playing time and because of her size, a school offered her college spot. This year she is again getting loads of time, again due to players injured or quitting, and you think GDA is the best thing since sliced bread. But darn it, it’s coming to an end, and you are bitter.

Dont waste time fretting about what is beyond your control. You just have to pick something and get on with it. There are hardly any good choices. If you had a good one for a year or two, be grateful that at least your player had that which is more then most ever get.

Can someone clarify what this email stated? Is it definite that there will only be WC ECNL next year and no NYCFC GDA?

Could see ECNL giving them two teams like PDA and FC Stars. Especially if they proactively leave.

My daughter has played against ECNL teams last 2 year, Bethesda, CFC, MU, they all play the same way, physical and the ugly, it’s more like rugby, and WC ECNL is no better, we know plenty of families from that team, meh.

P.S. if I were you I would be looking elsewhere, the 2 DA keepers will split all over he time.
