Every single club we have been on has added players mid-season.

    Every.

    Single.

    One.

Whether that be NPL, ECNL, DA...no matter. If a player comes in, they can play, and their check clears, they will take them.

    100% of the time.

Only those who probably shouldn't be there should be worried.

Fury has been doing this for ages. The talented players are catered to, while the ones with the biggest check book are next in favor. Its just that talent trumps money. The fact of the matter is there's nothing you can say on an anonymous forum that will make the kool-aid drinkers see the light of day. If they are happy, let them be happy. Fact of the matter is none of the ECNL or DA teams have any depth. For the most part you can say each team has a great one, or two or - maybe- three players, a few decent middle-of-the-road players and just to round out the numbers, some girls whose talents would be better served on a town team.

The families are paying money for training to the club , travel expenses, etc. the clubs arent paying the players so they have to put up with drama like being pro or in college .
did you really mean should not have to put up club drama based on not knowing...?

Really no flav-o-aid drinking involved. It happens at all leagues and from my experience, all clubs that we've been at.

It's a competitive world out there and about time some learn to perform or move along.

you need to forget the initials and buy into a coach. NYCFC is its people. CFG has nothing to do with it

Kaz Tambi struggles in the recruiting game for one big reason. He is honest. parents dont want that. they prefer to be lied to until that becomes inconvenient. The GDA initially forced a few home truths. The clubs who realized they could not run without lying, left. some continue to lie and they deal with the whole HS issue.

Kaz will always be Kaz. The man has a real passion for the game and a level of decency that is rare. Does not appeal to some because of it.

Whatever he does, mistakes included, are usually based on trying to do the right thing. I cant say the same for some of the others

We have several players from Connecticut too, we are an equal soccer-opportunity club.

Is he still coaching there? Heard he is ill since October and may not return. True?

I am Kaz’s personal physician, and he is fine.

Well for all the poor slobs without chauffeur services available, no one is driving to nycfc from LI. We battle it out amount the overpriced crappy clubs available to us right here on the island! It's a free for all.

Kaz is taking sometime off due to an illness. He expects to be back in a few months, by the spring season hopefully. I’m speaking from a firsthand conversation with him. His plans are to work with his players to find the right environment for them. He is continuing to work on their recruiting from home while he recouperates. You are talking about a man who has maintained unheard of contacts with most who have played for him. As one of his former players, I can tell you this man will walk thru fire for his players.

Also, for all who think there is a conflict between NYCFC and WC, I have been told from Kaz himself that that is the furthest from the truth. NYCFC at this time is re-evaluating relations with US Soccer for the boys and want to support their relationship with WC. Low tryouts for the GDA and strong WC teams in the younger age groups has made this decision easy. Please don’t make stuff up people. If NYCFC is offering you everything you want for your daughter, Kaz tells me you will get the same with WC

Finally, those people suggesting Clarkstown might offer what your looking for, please do yourself a favor and investigate the club a bit

In all sincerity, happy to hear that Kaz is on the mend and hope for his speedy recovery.

As for the rest of what you are selling, not buying. There is not room for everyone at WC at the same level they expect with the same coaches they have gotten used to. Not everyone can be the A team - ask the 2008 WC teams and how that is all working out for them. Though that does further the point of strong younger teams at WC which is also true.
Even with the introduction of ECNL2, someone will be the B team and that will not bode well or someone will get cut.

Plenty of kids play for Clarkstown and do well and they emerge unscarred - where does WC and NYCFC draw some of their great talent from?? Let's be real, No one is back-tracking and going to a club that can't field a solid team past U14...someone who isn't educated on the landscape made a guess on a replacement, let's not try to deflect from the true issues at hand here.

My friend, Kaz will chose the coaches at WC. Once he is back in charge of the WC coaches it will be him making the final decisions. He will work with Chris on teams that are working and replace those who are not.
