Maybe, maybe not, only 3 people know for sure. Lots of negativity, and sabotage coming from the ECNL parents and coaches, lots. It was bound to happen, you can't have 2 programs diametrically opposed co-exsist in the same facility, impossible. Red Rulls might pounce on this, plenty of DA girls would rather choke than play for WCFC.

Oh, and to finally dispel this reoccurring basher-theory that NYCFC GDA is nothing more than WC+, or WC/Extra. Its really not, as there are girls that came from many different clubs that play for Kaz. Some of those clubs include:

      PDA
      MF
      TSF
      STALLIONS
      FURY
      MSC
      NYSC
      CFC
      STA
      EM
      BETHESDA
      WCFC

People need to stop making up these blueprints for what makes a great athlete and realize there isn't one.

No one said it was wc plus. They just said the two programs can't share a facility.

I’ve heard them called that plenty of times, as the ECNL dads love to gather and laugh, but that’s fine, my daughter doesn't hear it, pretty sure would laugh if she did. I wish the ECNL girls well, hope it all works out for them....

Don't be thin skinned. Putting aside the childish bane calling, they still can't share a facility.

where will Kaz be going after the GDA is dropped? If your daughter plays for Kaz, most likely she is a sophomore in the final stages of her recruiting process. So your thoughts are to leave Kaz in Junior year and start new with someone else? Kaz will be staying where the rest of his family works.

And for those who think Red Bull’s will be getting into the GDA anytime soon, I think you should google the latest article on how MLS’ Don Garber announces that MLS clubs are losing money on the DA. MLS clubs are trying to develope home grown talent. Girls do not fit into that picture right now

what is your point? Becoming a better player is all about the effort you put in and the instruction you get. The labels under which that happens are largely irrelevant. No clue why people seem to disrespect a guy who has been a big influence on so many great players. Kaz will always be Kaz whatever the league and whatever small minded people think. If he was the right guy before, he still is.

Oh you mistake my intent. I am saying Kaz is a great coach. Not because he is a GDA coach but because he is an experienced coach. He coached my sister a long with Yael.i respect him more than my own daughters DOC

Well put. The league is irrelevant. Kids learned and played soccer before these fancy leagues came along and they will continue to do so long after they are gone.

There’s mention of a drunk coach from Fury on BOTN, who was massaging some players, hahahah, can't make this crap up, and I thought we had some problems.....

There are some MLS clubs that would love to drop DA altogether. They don't want to be in the business of youth development and it costs them a good deal of money to run it (usually at least partially offset with camps, RDS etc). Even if they develop some homegrowns, there aren't many and the rules make it so they really don't profit much. We're not talking about multimillion dollar rookie contracts. Girls absolutely do not fit into the picture. Very few MLS clubs have gotten involved with GDA and with good reason. They don't want, they don't benefit from it and there's no money in women's soccer.

There is money in fans and clubs that support girls will have more fans.

USSF is what helped create this mess, so yes some bashing is in order. They haven't a clue what they're doing with youth soccer or the national teams. Eleven years of BDA and we didn't qualify for the most recent WC or Olympics.

A drop in the bucket. And those girls will go to college soon enough and forget all about their local club.
