What would be great is if the trends toward technical and tactical soccer internationally can include certain the DA and ECNL here so that we improve the quality of what we see on field and have that make its way to college. Top teams need to stop relying on glorified kick ball, which is why most ncaa women’s soccer teams play.

My daughter never cared what league she played games in and it made no difference to her College or YNT prospects. More training time with a good coach was the difference maker.
people going back and forth on the league are missing the point.

The way he trains players will not change no matter the sign on the shingle.

this take about the USSF getting it right falls apart if the coaching is poor.

USSF made the situation worse, not better for most of us in the NY Metro area. Instead of having better programs to choose amongst, we instead had to pay more money to the club and more money in travel. It isn't about ECNL vs. GDA either. ECNL is far from perfect. But USSF had a chance to do something better. That they did not do -- instead they just copied it.

Spoken a true member of the bloated youth soccer industry. This is ts. It exists for moping. Get back to running some very average and overpriced soccer organization for kids.

The travel is almost identical, they both go to Florida for a showcase. In fact since the ECNL play more games, the travel expenses are probably more. The travel distance is also similar. I found that my daughter had more time for social activities since she didn't have to play two games every weekend.
Neither league is perfect, it depends on the club whether or not the training and atmosphere is productive.
