Really? Are there. lets look back over the last 5 years. How many IMPACT college players have come out of the NY ECNL/GDA clubs? You can talk about the 2 kids you mention but with respect they have done nothing that other kids have not done before them and most of those are not having big impact in College.

People on TS have no clue how big a step up it is to play at a top 10 soccer school AND havd a big impact. Its far easier at Club and even at YNT level.

Jeeez. 99 percent of the star power already comes from California. Can't the Northeast at least have one superstar?

She is not yet of age, but in a few years you will be hearing a lot about Mila Erceg.

She began playing at BWG on the boys side (she is 2005), then moved out to one of the clubs in LI, and now is at IMG.

She is a product of the GDA and will evolve into an elite player either on the national stage or at the collegiate level.

Don't be a jerk. Leave kids alone on here even if you are upset with their parents.

Who is being a jerk? Its healthy to actually look back over a meaningful period to see whether all the hype has been justified. In most cases, it was not. So when i read about all these "destined for greatness" players, I shake my head a little bit. Its clearly a lot harder than people think and the tools required are far broader than most realize.

                  how are you measuring this?

                  by invites to YNT?

These are kids. All the destined for greatness garbage comes from posters trying to make trouble and leads to nasty ugliness every single time. The moderators do nothing about it so the forum need to self police. Just post to your hearts content but leave kids out of it.

def not. Invites to YNTs are pretty irrelevant once College starts. Im more interested in the kids people were blowing up for years on here. How many are actually impactful College players

YNTs are just one persons opinion. Usually someone with influence. Several of these so called superstars do not translate in College.

op here - you got that right. Can't wait until the younger one is done this year. See ya!

Because no one knows or care about women's college soccer other then the families of the kids on the team. Womens soccer here is about the world cup, the Olympics, and a few NWSL teams with a fan base. College soccer is a lot like youth soccer but the players are all older. Most interesting thing about it is some kids get money towards their educations to play it. Sorry.

I would narrow it down and say people the NE have no idea what the national soccer scene really looks like. They bicker about who is the best club around blah blah blah when players and clubs in the area are barely a blip on the national radar. Look at where the NT selections and top college players come from - it's rarely from around here. And as you said, even rarer that they make it all the way as an adult NT member, pro player or college super stud on a top college team.
