So book those plane tickets and waste your time and money flying around instead of learning how to play soccer!

I really don't understand all the bashing of the parents (kids) for putting their kids in DA. So what if you are good but not good enough to go pro? When should this be decided, U14, U12, U10? If you are there because you love playing soccer, are learning a lot and want to play in the top league (and you make the cut) why is it a problem for so many people?
So if you make the US Olympic team as #3 runner in some event should you not go because you have no chance to win?

Because, there are two ways to make yourself look like you are doing a good job. First, you do a good job. Second, you try to show the other person is doing a bad job.
Too many people in the second category.....Insecurities.

Only way to improve the level of play is to get more talent involved, not less. Only way to do that is to decrease the travel burden, not increase it. You will see.

Like...NOT the ECNL model which precludes too many teams within a certain radius?
I agree.

Ecnl model is the BDA model which is the gda model. All the same and all serve the same talent. Funded boys mls is different.
It is very easy to see the level of play in these leagues. Just go through some youtube videos. No need to argue on line about it. It is easily available to judge for yourself
