He is one of the best all around trainers and has the biggest contact lists around. Surf is lucky to have him.

Don’t be fooled. LISC is all about the money and not about development. They took girls that never would have made the team and now they are cutting them because the seasons over and bills are paid. As for development it was ok but very little focus on improving individual players skills. Communication has been subpar. They say one thing and do something completely different. Coaching is good but nothing spectacular. It is at the level expected for someone who does this full time but not as good as boys coaching. Over all it was fine but nothing else EMSC, SUSA, Surf etc are all superior. Look at there record - not great because it’s the same ole same ole.

Are they cutting them because better players are now interested for next year? That is the name of the game at this level, and frankly it should be for all of the other players to maintain a competitive environment.

I know nothing about the coaching, so thank you for the comments. However, their record isn't necessarily a good indicator if they never had the best players to begin with.

The underlying problem with all of this is that no one is that happy with their club and/or coach!

Just a casual observer here, FWIW playing the "opposing team marketing" schpeal is never a good look. Stay above the fray...
As LISC continues to build, strap in, the club will definitely have disgruntled folks who thought their kids were superstars that didn't get a fair shake. Those are the people who flood these boards with negativity and nasty comments.
My kid's team (not LISC) got raked through the mud on these boards with some of the nastiest comments about the club, the team, individual kids, the works! Turns out it was a parent whose kid didn't get to play the position he thought she should play and they left in a huff-3 YEARS AGO!!! People are really weird!
I know it's hard, but try to ignore the nasty, keep doing what you guys are doing and good luck!

It doesn't matter how many they get at tryouts, what matters is who is coming to tryouts. Anyone can fill a roster.

Sadder situation is what has happened to the other formerly strong option for some LI soccer families. Li soccer needs a complete do-over.

So does all of youth soccer frankly. Too many g-dam leagues chasing after the same players. In fact there's fewer players with youth soccer participation down 14% in just three short years.
