That said, what do you want to happen? Do you want the HS players to quit the DA? Will the team still be able to field? The situation is a mess. I support every family trying to come up with some solution that allows their kid to keep playing the sport somehow if they want too. There are no great options out there for most of these kids but I like to see them still trying to play. Can't think of one single family that is fully satisfied with their soccer options. Current crop of teens have been through the youth soccer ringer.

Absolutely. Most would be better served increasing their study time and hiring a tutor while staying local for league play and training. Even those parents that think they have a stud are just lining trainers pockets for the most part. There are exceptions, but not as many as you would think. Kids can have great experience close to home and get into a better school and earn more merit money through academics. Just saying that folks should open their eyes. Delusion runs rampant. Big world out there. Clubs all lie and why not, you are paying their salary.
