Originally posted by Unregistered View PostExpect the coaching staff at NYCFC to give the uncommitted players a lot of playing time. At this point it will not be about winning but giving those girls plenty of time in front of coaches, especially the 02's.
However, after the showcase ends, those from competing programs come on and tell everyone show shltty the team is because they didn't win.
It's a bit of a sticky-wicket....

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostThe absolute right thing to do is to give non committed players as much PT as possible. The club is going away, they don't care about standings or playoffs, and it's the least they can do. Even if they weren't in this situation showcases are just that - showcases. But you're right the wins still matter both for standings and egos and many coaches will still play to win.

youth team soccer is all about INDIVIDUAL before TEAM
senior team (College, pro) is all bout TEAM before INDIVIDUAL.
I think parents fail to understand this.

the fascination with short term kills real development
All players should be getting the minutes they need - FULL STOP.
