And do not overlook that the best Martian kids play in the MDA...the Martian development academy.

Little do you know of sports..... it’s what the child does away from organized team training which usually separates the top players

My kid graduates this spring, so I have nothing to gain from bashing or praising, but for my kid, wearing the NYCFC uniform and the DA patch made her a much more intense player, she looked more forward to practices and games. If you have not been there, you know nothing. We are happy that we switched, ECNL will always be considered the B league in our household, and its okay that its the A league in yours, enjoy the games as much as you can.

Your D found a good situation that all came together for her. It just as easily could have been under another badge. the vast majority of her development happened elsewhere. 18 months in GDA was finishing touches. No doubt bashing opponents 9-0 helped her self confidence.

Now that there is only 1 or 2 decent clubs left in the NE, it's-oh but look at the Michigan Jaguars!!!

Every ecnl parent that I have talked to believes their daughter is a star because she plays in that league. Not even close, it’s just another travel league, similar to USYS NL.

Now that the news has had a chance to sink-in, all of the NYCFC families that I have spoken to are disappointed that we are leaving. Not because we think GDA is a perfect league, far from it, most are saddened that Kaz has not explained why. Some feel betrayed, and will not return, but I dont think WCFC cares, as they hope the girls who were previous members just return to the fold. Besides, field space is tight, and the 4 extra GDA teams made it worse.
