Oh yes. Totally makes sense to factor in clubs from Michigan, Colorado and beyond when I decide what soccer teacher to hire for my player. What kind of fool would not look at Michigan clubs when deciding about NY options? And why stop there. Be sure to consider Paris, Munich and Madrid while you are at it

Seriously? We gave all been at this for a while if we r in the gda thread. We all see the range of talent level present in these so called top leagues because we are all participating in them. Your comment would be appropriate for youth soccer newbies who are most certainly not wasting their time in the ts gda thread.

I think it does, and I have seen it myself. My kid graduates this spring, so I have nothing to gain from bashing or praising, but for my kid, wearing the NYCFC uniform and the DA patch made her a much more intense player, she looked more forward to practices and games. If you have not been there, you know nothing. We are happy that we switched, ECNL will always be considered the B league in our household, and its okay that its the A league in yours, enjoy the games as much as you can.

You admit you were never involved with ECNL so how do you know it's the B league? It certainly isn't in the NE. Your D found a good situation that all came together for her. It just as easily could have been under another badge. the vast majority of her development happened elsewhere. 18 months in GDA was finishing touches. No doubt bashing opponents 9-0 helped her self confidence.

We know because she trains with, and against, girls from PDA, MFA, WC, etc.

When the Michigan Hawks, and several other TOP clubs from across the country, peaced the efffff out of GDA-you all beat on your chests about how that didn't matter bc it didn't affect your kid if some Midwest club left GDA. Now that there is only 1 or 2 decent clubs left in the NE, it's-oh but look at the Michigan Jaguars!!!

Every ecnl parent that I have talked to believes their daughter is a star because she plays in that league. Not even close, it’s just another travel league, similar to USYS NL.

Now that the news has had a chance to sink-in, all of the NYCFC families that I have spoken to are disappointed that we are leaving. Not because we think GDA is a perfect league, far from it, most are saddened that Kaz has not explained why. Some feel betrayed, and will not return, but I dont think WCFC cares, as they hope the girls who were previous members just return to the fold. Besides, field space is tight, and the 4 extra GDA teams made it worse.

my kid plays in College with Hawks, PDA kids, and many other alumnae of good clubs. If you think the clubs made them you are lost. Talent is talent .
