Funny that you should say that, because we were discussing that at PF this weekend. There was a staggering absence of girls of color. I saw 2 the entire weekend, and I walked around a lot. It pretty obvious to me that around here, this game is for rich white girls.

Funny how AAU basketball has a staggering amount of black kids playing and no one worried about getting more white kids involved.

And that's for an event that doesn't require airfare. Diversity in BDA is more common because 1) clubs are mandated by USSF to lower their fees, making it a little more affordable (but still not cheap) and 2) MLS clubs are by and large free to play; there it's all about skill, not the ability to pay.

"Mandated" ... that's rich. OW in CT is nearly $3k per season (+ loads of travel) and BS in CT is $4k (+ loads of travel) did they graciously lower it from the MSRP of $6K?!? US Soccer is a joke.
