The interest comes from contact from the player, video, calls from the club.

This also seems to indicate that they added the older ages back in. Maybe they are seeing what kind of a turnout they get before throwing in the towel on the combined teams?

Point is, I'm not sure that GDA attracted greater attention from college coaches across the board. With Stars and PDA now leaving GDA, that just makes it even harder on college coaches as they know both leagues are splitting the top talent.
Top players attract attention. No one cares where they play as such and good coaches can spot them vs good and bad competition. People need to stop drinking the kool aid Clubs are selling you. There is a reason the best coaches are at top Colleges, they know talent.
Next time you are at an ID event, go talk to a coach at a top program. You will be surprised how many myths get exploded

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostDifferent poster and I can't say with GDA but for BDA definitely coaches show up. Also varies by club. Coaches have a decent sense of which clubs produce quality talent and which don't and some have personal relationships with clubs. Coaches aren't going to fly in to see someone but if schedules line up and it's convenient. Coaches would much rather watch a practice or game than a few minutes at a showcase.

Why do so many people bash the GDA? And please don't say because some parents bragged about it back in September, every team has THAT parent. If this is your reason, then you are a loser, you Mom was a loser, as was your Granny, and Great Grandmama.
