    Marist College Womens Soccer Program

My daughter is getting recruited by the Marist coach and her other choices are all in D3. I see online there has been some turnover in the past with their coaching staff. Is that normal? I am very reluctant to support her attending the school since she is not sure she wants that BIG of a commitment.

Good luck with your choice. If you were serious you wouldn’t be on TS asking for advice.

Always pick the school first. Soccer at any level can go away in a minute. If she doesn't want a D1 commitment definitely don't do it. It's even more than she probably imagines. She can still play lots of soccer in D3 but also have a more balanced college experience.

Coach turnover isn't necessarily a bad thing but this one hasn't had time to see if they'll stick. Coaches with terrible records should be avoided as they may get fired soon

Great advice. The fact that there is no BUZZ or a large number of replies shows this is a "no drama" team.

I wouldn't go that far since there was plenty before. The board has been pretty dead also. Like the other said, a bit too early to see where this new coach goes. Definitely good advice on not doing D1 if their heart isn't in it - no matter who the coach is
