Plenty of LI players get big money freshman year at low level schools and never see the field. Coaches sold mediocre players to bad programs and that is why those programs can't recover. Just look at the NEC, MAAC, America East, A-10 and Patriot League. The bottom feeders stay at the bottom because they chase big club players that don't pan out. Find top players from the mid clubs and schools would be in better shape.

It is in violation for the NCAA rules to coach PSA that lives outside the 50 mile radius of your institution. The school has been notified and we will see if people care or don't care about rules

There are plenty of college coaches in the Northeast that have pivoted away from club or take younger teams because of this rule so it’s real.

How far down the rabbit hole head first are these people? What you refer to as an actual violation means you are aware of this as a Marist parent as well. With all due respect to the program how has this infraction give an unfair advantage/benefit to Marist that the school administration and NCAA should take action.
bottom line is that regardless of the level the only way to avoid the noise. Coaches don’t get to select which NCAA rules they abide by and which they don’t. There are plenty of dumb rules.
play stupid games and you win stupid prizes

It is illegal and Marist is breaking the rules. No way around it. If Marist decides to not worry about it shame on them.
