Quick PDA history.

In the beginning PDA had 1 team. Then the GDA came along and then PDA had a top team in both leagues. The leagues didn't want to have the B team while the other had the A so PDA was given a choice. PDA decided to take both teams to ECNL which ECNL allowed since the GDA team was kicking the crap out of GDA anyway. A few years later, when ECRL started PDA South joined after sporting NPL national titles, several YNT pool players and players getting into top programs even though they weren't ECNL and then also the famed AJAX team. The next year they were given ECNL even though big brother PDA North objected as they said PDA South wasn't ready. Fast forward to today as parents from non-PDA clubs are all pissed at how PDA South was let in over their club even though their team is better, but not club.

My bad, I misread. So, they (White) were an NPL team. That makes them the same as any other club where NPL was the top team (pre-GDA).

Still not seeing a reason why PDA gets 2 (or 3) than another club. The more you type, the more you dig the hole. I'd suggest giving it up because at this rate ECNL will expel PDA completely by the end of the day.... 'bra.

Based on what? That SJEB has tried to merge and buy their way into looking elite? That they have some of the best players to work inside a 10 foot box? Facts are facts, their 05s and 04s aren't even in the top 15 in NJ and the 07s are 10th and look to have fell apart during the spring.

Can you imagine the size of JTs ego if he had ECNL? Ever wonder why SJEB teams implode at u13/u14 and turn into above average teams? Look at some of the younger ones now. How many players have left because of other players or the coach?

Because it was pointed out the competition in the West is creating a better product, and that means the hold PDA has on the market in the area is holding it back. They are correlated.

It is and isn't. People think having more spots in ECNL would allow players to move around closer and then NJ would be great. What people don't understand is that clubs seem to be in a race to the bottom here and until someone actually steps up and becomes a Tophat type club clubs in NJ will continue to pump out average players with the occasional gem.

Another cost structure.. we had LAFC at $2400 (plus ref fees) and now from Texas DKSC ECNL - $2650

Its obvious that because of lack of competition in ECNL NJ parents possibly pay $1000+ extra each year.

Fwiw, WCFC is at $2800.

It is and isn't. People think having more spots in ECNL would allow players to move around closer and then NJ would be great. What people don't understand is that clubs seem to be in a race to the bottom here and until someone actually steps up and becomes a Tophat type club clubs in NJ will continue to pump out average players with the occasional gem.

More competition will help drive that. Clubs sitting fat and pretty knowing they can't be touched (hell, not even that, will have the ability to get 'more') does the opposite.

A 2nd tier team is just that...a second tier team. You can dress it up all you want but the reality doesn't change the fact Keep diggin'

Post U15 teams are all $3600 and that includes:
- 2x a week coaching
- ECNL league fees
- ECNL showcase fees
[Note: no money was given back for cancelled 2020 and 2021 league or showcases]

It does not include:
- uniforms
- coaches travel fees for league, showcases, tourneys
- ref fees for scrimmages
- extra tournaments

Also, another $1400 gets you
- winter training
- fall training
- AP2P
- gym fees (when available)

It’s pretty much apples for apples.
