My daughter was offered a roster spot on their 2011s but we didnt accept because the shore branch is too far for us assuming she will be age appropriate for ecnl in a few years and we dont want to become a club hopper. They had both teams there when my daughter went. Thank you in advance for your suggestions...
I believe that both MF Morris and MF Shore are telling the parents of the 2010 and the 2011's that they will be on the future ECNL team and it will coached out of their area. The Morris 2009 team did not find out that the team was training out of the shore location until they saw it posted on instagram. They were lead to believe that their kids would have a shot to be on the future ECNL team. Both MF Shore and MF Morris are making promises to the families claiming that their kids could be on the ECNL team in the future. That's how you hold on to players, empty promises. Don't believe a word of it. They will make their decision last minute depending on which team has a higher ranking in the state, which is probably the right thing to do, but they should be up front and honest with the parents. I think the ECNL spot will go to whichever 2010 and 2011 team is stronger when the time comes, it could go either way.

Facts MFN 09 played Pre ECNL and finished sub .500 with a negative goal differential . Facts MFN kids went through two tryouts ( ECNL @ MFN / 2009 @ MFS) along with an ID session @ MFS in the early spring and the quality of player was sub par @ MFN compared to the MFS 09 team. If a player demonstrated the potential to play on the MFS team from MFN that player would be on the team. MFS added two high level players during tryouts from outside the club (1field player/1keeper). If there were additional high level players they would have made the ECNL MF 09 team for this upcoming season. The players that left MFN 09 team left the club and everyone wishes them the best. The decision to award the 09 MFS team an ECNL badge was not done last minute nor was the decision on where the team would train during the week decided at the last minute . MF clearly communicated their intentions for over an entire calendar year that the best overall players would make the 09 ECNL team. For any parent on either team to say anything different is just not a fair or factual statement. Lastly when both teams played each other the contest was clearly lopsided and unbalanced to a score that got completely out of hand almost to a point of a double digit difference .
