The leagues can exist separately but there should be showcases that are open to all leagues. For example, Usys and GA top teams should be in NC right now with the ecnl top squads. But that makes too much sense. It’s too good for the players and not good for certain others.

Unfortunately, it’s about the league and not the player. Get used to it.

Absolutely. For many youth coaches sadly this is just a paycheck, for others it’s truly a passion and those should definitely move on to better opportunities so I get it why the better ones at STA might be leaving.

Yeah sorry to hear as the league’s quality has left a lot to be desired and the coaches know that more than anyone.

These posts are all parent driven and gives them the opportunity to vent their anger, frustrations and jealousy. They want to blame PDA that there daughters are not at the top because they live vicariously through their daughter and it has become about them. It’s their social life and think this soccer experience is their experience. Sadly, when my daughter moved to PDA her teammates, coach and club wished her well as it should be. My wife and I unfortunately had a different experience with parents telling me we were abandoning the team, her teammates and the club. They see it in terms of how it effects them and that we were leaving them behind. Parents do not understand that no two players develop alike. Each player has a different level and the training/trainer/coach has no control of why players develop to their own personal max. My daughter was bored on her team both in training and in games. It was time to further her own personal development by moving on. Development is individual and each player has their own level of personal achievement. Part of development is to be challenged n a competitive atmosphere in training and matches. That is why she moved. It has nothing to do socially about playing with her friends who understood why she left. Unfortunately, parents think about themselves rather what’s in their daughters best interest.

Agree. It’s so obvious to most.

I believe the poster is talking about shutting out players that are equal to and better than your daughter. It’s not all about you and your “experience.”

No, it’s ALWAYS about PDA parents’ experience. Lol.

Mostly well said but NYCFC is a professional outfit that culls through 100s if not 1000s of prospects to produce a professional player that will be profitable to the corporation over a period of time. There’s one non-profit club that aggregates amateur girl soccer players in NJ which is creating a perceived or in practice scarcity of opportunity to access for exposure to high level college playing scholarship offers by leveraging the resources of the flagship university (Rutgers) and its staff which is totally inappropriate; and needs to be examined closer by the powers that be at Rutgers.

PDA would be a different animal if MO and his staff were disassociated from the non profit called PDA. There would not just be an annual PDA Day at Rutgers university grounds. There would be STA Day, CSA Day, MFA Day, Real Day, SJEB Day. You name it. Instead of growing the girls soccer game for greater access, participation, competition in NJ, what is happening in NJ, is a brand (PDA) and a league (ECNL) associated with its brand is being allowed greater growth indirectly through University (Rutgers) and corporate (Nike) resources.

                          Wake up folks.

Well said. PDA is an organized crime ring. The NCAA is corrupt and turns a blind eye.

US Soccer really botched this up big time. The shock pull the plug move is still having a damaging impact. Do not blame STA blame US Soccer for this mess.

I am the OP and have no idea what your interpretation of what I said has anything to do with anyone else but our experience. My daughter with her teammates and the club and how the parents took it personal that she moved at the end of the season. In your mind other players are “as good or better” and that is exactly what I was saying. Parents who live vicariously through their daughters and live in an alternative reality that there daughters were shut out. If that is what you want to believe then at least people reading these posts can take it for what it is.
