It’s almost reality, buckle up for the landscape to change in NJ. The ECNL needs a presence in the Shore area and CSA is the obvious choice.

Nice job pumping this up....zero chance of this happening. PDA Shore or MF Shore will get ECNL before CSA will ever get it. It’s just a business thing....

That rumor has been going on for years. Doubtful it happens, but every day is a new day.

Why wouldn’t PDA want to allow another top national level club like CSA join ECNL, wouldn’t that be a win win? Perhaps they are worried they will lose a lot of players to CSA?

I think the disconnect here is that CSA is not an elite club on the girls side. It’s a below average, middle tier club in an area where the two current ECNL clubs are trying to grow. CSA has just become a brand and a business model for the owner to push Capelli gear. It’s still a viable option on the boys side (especially in Bergen) but their girls program is poor.

I really disagree with your assessment regarding the girls side. Now to be fair, if you are basing your opinion from a few years ago MAYBE I could see your point. Now, the girls side is very well run and competitive. Good trainers/coaches, the DoC Is present and active, almost every age group has two teams Green/White. Communication is also very strong. That’s my experience and I have two girls in the program- on the younger side and older.

CSA is a top National club? That’s certainly news to me.

I’m happy to hear your kids are there and it’s organized. Two teams at every age group and a DOC who is doing their job doesn’t mean they are elite however.

I am not saying that makes them elite. I was disagreeing with your comments regarding the girls side. I don’t even want to get into the Elite/GA/ECNL argument, it’s redundant at this point.

Yes I guess my point was to the original poster on CSA getting ECNL. This isn’t happening because CSA isn’t perceived as being elite on the girls side and they are in an area where the two current clubs are expanding (most notably PDA as they control this league).

I guess we could also debate what expansion means. MFA Shore has one good team and I think they have 3 teams total. PDA Shore has OK teams. So if you compare that to the standard of elite, in my opinion CSA would classify as elite.
