Again, sorry to sound ignorant. We're an ECNL-Regional League team. Is there a difference between that and ECRL? Every other club in our conference has a national team and several regional teams. We only have one regional team at this point. That is our top team in each age group. The next closest club is 2 hours away. We play teams all over the state. What I'm gathering is that it's an ECNL decision whether we get moved up or not at some point. And, I'm not sure what PDA, WC and MFA are. I'm guessing I'm not in your state or region. Sorry.

Typical scenario for promotion involves high quality teams over all/most age groups and over a period of several years. Unless your team is very young, it is unlikely to happen during your club experience. Coaching licenses of upper staff and unfettered access to sufficient quantity and quality fields are other criteria. Local market conditions are also considered. Both saturation and proximity to one of the controlling clubs (PDA) who have the power to block applications.

When you fill rosters with kids rejected by other teams you can do that.

I could see ECNL giving one team somewhere in ECRL a badge in the near future just to keep all of the others thinking they have a chance, besides that, not a chance

Do they mandate ECRL to do May 1st also? If not then it means they are planning or expecting something potentially.

Last year the 2011s had truly outs in March and they were ECRL. The announcement today didn’t list MFA shore. So does that mean they won’t be getting it or will they announce more teams at a later date.

I think the rule is that you cannot have another ECNL player at your tryouts before May 1st. Others can be there earlier

I think you’re misunderstanding the announcement today. GA clubs. They can’t get people to keep drinking the kool aid if they don’t promote any ECRL clubs in the whole country. More announcements to come 100%.
