Yes ECRL very expensive option for b team.

In my humble opinion no matter what club. I would definitely do my due diligence when it comes to B teams. Maybe look on got soccer and see who they have played and what brackets for tournaments. I’m very wary of second tier teams

Interesting. Perhaps a little advice if you don't mind. I will be considering STA or World class as we live in Bergen county. How long were you with STA and how did you like the program?. I am hesitant to choose world because of second the team status. What was the problem with the STA team?/ program

Also is the ECRL world class team really that good.? How do you know since we have been on lockdown and you're coming from a different team. Did they play each other?

Yes we were on the STA team that participated in the GDA. Players were moved around from game to game with no advance warning. The players you practiced with, were not the players you played games with. Older teams were always short, so players were moved up to sit on the bench for the older teams instead of playing with their own team. The players and coaches were always shifting No normalcy there. We were there for GDA only so it was only since July tbh.

We had been training with WC over the winter and had originally hoped to make the ECNL team but that is a very stacked team. The reason we chose to go onto the second team is because there seems to be movement from the ECRL to the ECNL when a player shows promise. They also do not overload their teams, or tell you you will be on the ECNL team and only play with the Regional team

of course do your own diligence about club, team, coach, DOC, etc. IMO world-class coaches are straight shooters and will not give you a bunch of BS just to get you to register. Typically they have one coach for both ECNL/ECRL therefore if your daughter ends up on the ECRL she will be given the opportunity to prove herself. Rightfully so, opportunities go first to girls in the club vs girls trying out. I am sure there are cases, where that rule has been broken but WC, has a ton of depth and will be just fine if your daughter or anyone else chooses another ECNL or GAL team because mom and dad don't think their daughter should be on anyone's 2nd team.

For those of you that think ECRL is a money grab, that is your opinion but I feel at WC the training is good and I don't have a problem with the cost. Your club might be different or you may have had a different experience with WC. Everyone's experience is their own.

The 06' WC ECRL team is a pretty decent team. A number of the girls were bumped down to ECRL from the ECNL team when the 06 girls that were playing up on the NYCFC GDA team came back when GDA dissolved.

This post is true to a point. The 06 ECNL team was a very good team before the academy. Peter did a great job with the talent he cultivated since 8 years old. The teams top 3 players, goalie midfielder and defender went to the GDA the first year and then 7 girls including those original girls came back from the GDA when world class withdraw from the GDA. There was a shuffle and some the old ecnl girls were left to the ECRL team. These girls were at the bottom of the pecking order but would form a nice base for the ECRL team. Not all the players relegated to the ecrl team team stayed, some sought out other ECNL teams and the GDA. The ECRL was filled in with girls from the outside that could not make another ECNL team or GDA team. The team is decent but nothing to consider if there are other options, especially since it is still treated like the second team and as such does not have the top of food chain in coaching. It is a decent product but certainly not better than the Development Academy teams.. This may change if the east clubs are successful in funneling the GDA girls into this league. but right now the real answer is no one really knows if the ECRL will be a viable alternative for NJ and NY. It'll be up to PDA to decide what teams they send to ECRL. Could be the South 2nd team or the Shore 1st team. They will call them "PDA South" in either case.

Now this Post is pure crap about STA. This is probably someone from world trying to pump up the WorldClass ECRL team. I get it -but don't believe this unless they can give you specific details. Unfortunately you are going to have to go both STA and Worldclass and work out with the teams before you can make a decision.....Good luck. Poster it sounds like your daughters time at STA was disappointing, can you give more specifics? i assume from your earlier post that your daughter was moved around a lot. Top 5 players usually don't get moved around so much, I am curious to hear why you thought that was the case. I also assume Tim was your coach which is why you called him out.

Bottom line ECNL - RL is a waste of time in N.J.! PDA will never allow a progression path to ECNL . Don’t waste your time/and money.

Not the poster but let's think about that. One club has the ability to completely screw over everyone else. The dropping of DA by US Soccer was such a big deal because the only way to create a true pyramid system is to have leagues that are not governed by a for profit sanctioning body or with boards comprised of for profit clubs. You must have an impartial (or as close to it as possible) body that governs. Set ups where member clubs have veto rights, extra votes, etc wil never enable a system where clubs are rewarded for success and penalized for under achievement.
