Don't you want the GAL to be a strong alternative to youth soccer so theres not a monopoly which would give you more than two choices of clubs for your daughter? I don't understand the gloating unless of course these are officials from ECNL clubs posting here.
it would be great if the encl. regional league turned into a great alternative. it would also be great if the GAL turned out to be successful. Isn't that a win-win for NJ soccer and parents

Most people who complain about the watering down of soccer change their tune when their kid gets displaced by someone “better” but for now they like to flex.

Nothing to do with flexing which league is better and everything to do with trying to give people the actual information about GAL instead of the bs being puked out by CSA and STA. These are businesses trying to protect their assets, not telling the truth about the league. If people want to stay and stick it out for whatever reason (such as the kid if old enough to already be on the radar for a bunch of schools) then that's great. If not, you should know what you're getting into as a parent.

What are you the soccer police? Live and let live man - can’t see why it affects you what others do. There is a team, league for everyone.

That's why players end up staying in bad situations with terrible clubs. Parents shouldn't feel obligated, scared, or lied to so that they sign on the dotted line.
