Nothing wrong with that but lets get real.

if you can't make the A team for your club then seek out another showcase team. If that fails then by all means- PDA white is a great alternative because they play in the national platform it would be better than a lot of A team choices.

but after that just play where your daughter loves to play.

The new RL may change things but the ECNL in NJ has to prove it first before quality players join the RL league before seeking other alternatives. The past does not bode well for any promises that are made by matchfit
100%;agree - as I’ve said before nobody desires to have their kid on a second team in a second league. In most clubs the second teams are looked down on and the players on those second teams are viewed as second rate - never really given a chance to ever make the A team - why would anyone sign up for that?

These clubs are fools leaving the best league in the country....they’ll learn.

Just another proof that ECNL in NJ and especially PDA is totally corrupt just happy they extract cash from parents, block clubs in NJ and water down competition elsewhere.

Sporting BV is putting their second teams in the RL first teams remain in GAL.

Honestly i have never seen parents more proud to be on a second team in a second league.

Don't you want the GAL to be a strong alternative to youth soccer so theres not a monopoly which would give you more than two choices of clubs for your daughter? I don't understand the gloating unless of course these are officials from ECNL clubs posting here.

it would be great if the encl. regional league turned into a great alternative. it would also be great if the GAL turned out to be successful. Isn't that a win-win for NJ soccer and parents

Totally agree I’m dumbfounded by the amount of people routing for GAL to fail. Competition makes all clubs and players better, and gives consumers more choices. Pretty sad the glee some seemingly take routing for a leagues failure.

I agree at least your not playing USYS a lot of subpar teams and clubs in there, thank your blessings ECNL or GAL have the best teams.

No because everyone is so concerned with “watered down” soccer. It’s very rich to hear because let’s face it, there’s no Xavi running around playing girls soccer in our entire country, let alone the NE. The quality is generally all pretty bad, even when you see the top PDA teams play.

Most people who complain about the watering down of soccer change their tune when their kid gets displaced by someone “better” but for now they like to flex.

Nothing to do with flexing which league is better and everything to do with trying to give people the actual information about GAL instead of the bs being puked out by CSA and STA. These are businesses trying to protect their assets, not telling the truth about the league. If people want to stay and stick it out for whatever reason (such as the kid if old enough to already be on the radar for a bunch of schools) then that's great. If not, you should know what you're getting into as a parent.

I am sure most parents can figure out what is best for their kids and family themselves - did you ever think that maybe just maybe they and their kid are happy with their current team and don’t give a rats azz about changing leagues or teams? What are you the soccer police? Live and let live man - can’t see why it affects you what others do. There is a team, league for everyone.

You are the exact type of person that should stay off a site like this. OP clearly said stay if you want for whatever reason. There is of course a team, club, and league for everyone, but this GAL mess has turned into one big marketing blitz. A ton of parents have no idea and get suckered into these types of club ploys. That's why players end up staying in bad situations with terrible clubs. Parents shouldn't feel obligated, scared, or lied to so that they sign on the dotted line.

Thank you for actually trying to be fair and look out for people that don’t know any better as clubs are simply looking to protect their business interests first and foremost. Wish people would see the posts as advice and nothing else. If they don’t want to take the advice than so be it.
