ECNL Regional path to playing ECNL teams.

GDA offered the same exact exposure to colleges as ECNL I stopped reading after you said RL offered more.

I would love to see an actual study that shows GDA vs ECNL vs ECRL players that attracted top 50 D1 coaches. Add to that player top 10 schools and who got more offers from them. Plus the number of HS aged GDA players attempting to move to an ECNL program that make the team vs ECRL players moving up.

You can't say one offered more than the other because on paper they offered the same. The proof is in the results which, from my understanding, no one actually has.

But the NEFC teams are already dominate over number of ECNL national teams. When teams like that put their first team in the RL then i will be a believer. But right now most of the RL is for the second or third tier teams of ECNL national clubs like PDA and World Class. It would be laughable to watch those teams play NEFC, when many ECNL first tier teams lose to them. But I guess we will see. Anything is possible. I will watch for the stronger clubs around conference, if they put their showcase teams in the RL I am sold.-Otherwise it will be just another 2nd tier league within the ECNL that enables some clubs with critical mass (PDA) to have a second team in the top division.

Can you imagine if a club like Real NJ played in ECRL? They would more than prove themselves by destroying everyone. And then they would do the same in ECNL. But will they ever get the chance?? Nope as they are not in the ECNL biased business model.

While Real does have some good teams they don't have teams across all the age groups and are missing 04 and up.

Correct the league is very weak. Already established.

ECRL plays more than just MF, Delco and Buck 2nd teams. WC, FC Stars, PDA North, SUSA and EM are all far from weak 2nd teams.

What if their second teams doesn't win like so many 2nd encl teams already in the league. You still have a second tier league with second tier teams.


Listen I hope you are right and this RL league ends up being 1st class. That just means more choices for deserving athletes.

At the older ages the RL team at PDA north is the third team. They are weak usually. There may be some exceptions but the better girls are chosen for the white team during tryouts. What ever is left goes to the third team. Blue of course gets first pick.

Perhaps its different at the younger ages before they enter ecnl nationals

Probably a good thing for ECRL to not enter any national playoffs. It's a 2nd tier league behind ECNL, so what use would a national playoff have for those teams? Families probably happy not to have to travel and spend money on something like that.

2nd tier ? You are being way to kind. Match fit Ecrl couldnt beat travel teams. That is a absolute fact !!

Matchfit ECRL is pretty damn good, do not underestimate these teams they would at least be able to compete with GAL teams.

Not nice to put down ECNLR teams- but also, one has to get real so that they make the best choices for their daughter. No one would put their daughter on the matchfit second team unless they had to because of travel considerations or because their daughter had trouble making other better teams around the NJ. Nothing wrong with that but lets get real.

if you can't make the A team for your club then seek out another showcase team. If that fails then by all means- PDA white is a great alternative because they play in the national platform it would be better than a lot of A team choices.

but after that just play where your daughter loves to play.

The new RL may change things but the ECNL in NJ has to prove it first before quality players join the RL league before seeking other alternatives. The past does not bode well for any promises that are made by matchfit
