Keep seeing that PDA Shore is playing in ECRL but can't seem to find any information or announcement of that. Last I saw they were still playing in the made up Alliance League and EDP.

I assume there will actually be fluidity between rosters. GA & ECRL can be complimentary to each other.

Ok unless something changes drastically, New club teams are putting their 2nd team into the ECRL. They view as a foot hold in and it is great for marketing.

Didn't realize PDA had any influence outside of the NE Conference. Aren't we talking about the clubs that just joined ECRL in Kansas and Nebraska?

It's likely that with PDA South moving up to ECNL, PDA will move PDA Shore into it's spot in ECRL.

You’re probably thinking of Toms River their sister club. All in all they are jumbled together anyway like a township fugazi academy.

                More big clubs joining ECNLR

RICHMOND, VA (May 15, 2020) – The Elite Clubs National League Girls is excited to announce the addition of four new clubs to the ECNL Girls Regional League – Heartland for the upcoming 2020-2021 season: FC Wichita, Sporting Blue Valley, Sporting Omaha FC and St. Louis Scott Gallagher – Illinois. These clubs finalize the ECNL Girls Regional League – Heartland membership, and represent the extraordinary growth in talent that has emerged in the region. All of these teams now have the opportunity to continue their journey and to work for the potential to compete for a place in the ECNL.

More and more we see it does look like the smart clubs who can’t get in to ECNL yet are going the route of ECNL regional. It does look like ECNL is making the the regulation up/down league. Too many good clubs are putting teams in to ECNLR.

If this is 100% the future for ECNL I don’t see GAL being long term option for girls U13 or younger.

Altruistically, it makes sense to have competition but human nature wants to create monopolies. Either way the east coast landscape is screwed because even if invited I doubt CSA or STA or SJEB would accept. I would think that they don't trust the ECNL on the east coast. They would probably find themselves a member of the regional league forever no matter how well they did in competition. -unless of course the evaluation was objective.
LOL, CSA, STA & SJEB would DIE to get into ECNL...your "I doubt they would accept" is a cute spin, but couldn't be further from the truth.

GAL is a joke and will be you have to be really fooled to play in that league....but somehow someway you’ll see plenty of kool aid drinkers line up.

ECRLl is the second team for those ECNL clubs already in the league and the new clubs will put their second team in this league. This is a fact. Anything else is wishful thinking. I wish it would be different as it would be great for NJ

Exactly, ecrl is the identification medium for their higher level. Of course that higher level could change down the road.

This ECNLR league will actually hurt GAL in a couple of years. You will 100% see teams leave GAL if given opportunity to get into ECNLR with their best teams. They know those top teams can make it to ECNL by performing well. These well run clubs know being in the highest competition platform will equal long term success. GAL will never be close to the top platform. I see USYS in a better position as well.

GAL will work for these older teams about to go to college but long term with younger players it’s really not the best path for an elite player.
