I have a bridge to sell you. Interested?

Penn Fusion leaving big hit to GAL in this region.

Does it get me out of GAL and onto ECNL city?

No. Keeps you mired in ecnlr.

Can’t wait for the first “commuted” GAL clubs announces they are leaving GAL.

The whole soccer community knows it’s going to eventually happen.

History shows that is the way in for PDA clubs only. Otherwise how did PF get in? What an absolute farce.

Just like Beach and Legends? Sure those top national clubs join ECNLR for no reason! Sure they went in without understanding they have opportunity to be regulated up. Wake up.

First good club into ECNLR on East understands this is a marathon and not a sprint. GAL Nationally will not be a dominant league long term.

Wow. You actually paid for the bridge. Dummy. Ecnlr in this particular area would be very very foolish for clubs to join. And all clubs know why (PDA)

I can confirm a couple of things:

                      - ECNL will make ECNLR the path to get into ECNL. Clubs will eventually drop down and move up based on performance. It is in the works.

                      - Current GAL clubs are not loyal to this GAL league. Forced to do as last option as they wait to get into ECNL or ECNLR. You will eventually see GAL clubs point their top teams into some ECNL platform.

Screenshot this text and verify what I posted when both happen.

True they always give examples of out of state clubs where they don’t have to deal with the pda “issue”

ECNL-R competition is really bad. On top of that they watered it down even further by allowing subpar clubs like PDA Shore to join which will make an already weak league even worse. Just part of the PDA business plan of continuing to enrich ECNL while benefiting from that.

Say you are 100% correct for this area. Fine.

Do you really think your other GAL clubs are not trying right now? Be ready for damage control on your customers mate. It’s going to happen.

This is a Logical post that sounds right. I have been a big proponent for relegation for a long time. ECNL was founded on the principle that the league was about being competitive with a high level of competition and as we know there are presently ECNL Clubs who fall below that standard. Why travel to play non-competitive games? There should be consequences for those clubs who think that just wearing the ECNL patch is enough. That being said ECNLR is filled with players who did not make the ECNL rosters so why now would they be considered for the “major leagues” They were not at that level at tryouts. In addition, if GAL Clubs will wait and wait for that call to join the “B” league (ECNLR) what does that say about that club? I am not buying that theory about the Regional league being a conduit to ECNL. Maybe the ECNL team will add on a few Regional team players but the whole team to the league? No way! That’s parents rationale for there daughters playing in this Regional league.

Here is your problem. When ECNLR does become the regulation league for ECNL it immediately impacts GAL’s strength long term.

It’s actually a good thing for youth soccer. ECNL and USYS become the main platforms over time because of the regulation/promotion structures in place.

All GAL is right now is a place for clubs that got screwed by the federation and can’t get into ECNL right away. (Or ever) Over the next 4 years things will shake out and it will be clear. Have to cycle out the kids already being recruited to college on these GAL teams.
