By taking clubs that couldn't crack the NL? Unless the GA gets some massive backing from top colleges or sends girls to the NWSL or European leagues it will go down in flames just as fast as GDA did.

I think ECNL and GA will ultimately become one league after the clubs all merge together to stay afloat. Could be a realy good thing, actually. Take ECNL/GA/NPL/ECRL and create a two tiered system, all run by the officials (ECNL) that seem to best understand the customers.

Understand how to take money from customers? No. We don't need these business people running soccer leagues. We need soccer people running soccer leagues here if want to improve.

That is never gonna happen. I mean the idea of DA was that soccer people would run the soccer leagues and even that didn't happen. On the girls side, they were so clueless that they made every single wrong decision they could, from the sub rules, to HS ban, to really putting zero money into the program.

ECNL seem to be run bu savvy people who turned around their situation pretty quickly. They were the clear #2 league during the launch season of GDA but by year 2 they'd pulled even and then went ahead. It helps to have the backing of super powerful clubs like PDA running the show but they knew it and used that card pretty well. Let them absorb all of these clubs under their umbrella and then decide who plays at what tier. Pro/Rel but within their umbrella would make sense.

They why don't the absorb other NJ clubs?

Let’s see what they do with the 06 group which was also all talent recruited in to STA. The only talented STA girls coach works with the goalies. They need more like him.
My daughter plays for a younger group, I am getting concerned for the GAL league? Seems like the talented 2005, 2004 kids are moving to other clubs- that concerns me . Does that mean this league is not going to be good? Why are kids leaving?

The league may (at best) be a solid second tier league. Many of the top former DA teams from around the country already have joined ECNL, so as of now it is the only clear top league. Kids are looking to leave to PDA and MF (gulp) to be in that league. There will only be so much space for those kids though, so it will be interesting to see how it works out. PDA and MF will have the pick of the litter for this year.

Pda south , pda B team and match fit. You lost me when you said top teams top league . Those are Bottom of bracket teams at best .

I wasn't saying those teams in particular were "top teams". What I was saying was that top former DA teams (not in our area as PDA/MF has ruled ECNL in NJ forever) have joined ECNL. The only addition to ECNL in NJ is PDA South as you noted. I don't view PDA North white, PDA South, or MF as "top teams", but I think a lot of players from former DA teams in NJ will be looking to join those clubs.

This is very true. I agree. It’s just gonna be a endless shuffle of bottom of roster kids from one team to the next as former DA players move In. For a certain club or two

GAL will be the second tiered league. For the Northeast GAL it just all depends on what happens with NEFC, South Shore and Oakwood. All good clubs that could compete with many ECNL clubs at different age groups. STA already lost some really good talent to other teams. If the same happens to those three teams it will be really bad for the GAL Northeast league. 95% of best DA teams across the country either left for ECNL or disbanded. Really only 3 major clubs left with GAL. Not good for showcases and college recruiting budgets to focus on GAL as a top priority like DA. Definitely will take a hit.

You also have to worry in the future that any of those three clubs could get an invite to ECNL down the road. If they get that opportunity for ECNL/ECNLR you can kiss away any loyalties they have to the GAL clubs. Gone in a second. Should be a big concern.

While I agree on most of what you are saying I would hit the brakes on Matchfit unless they are attacking the very young age groups. All the better talent in area at the older age groups know to stay far away from that club.

I think you're right. There are a bunch of younger aged kids (u12/13) with parents that want their kid to play ecnl who could get sold on trying MF.

I would say you are spot on. My daughter is on a future GAL team for fall and the club keeps pushing the line nothing has changed from DA but sub rule and HS rule. (Pushing hard not to do HS because they need to field a team in fall) It be better to tell the truth.
