coaches are just self indulgent narcissists. i condoned that behavior until i realized that the next 2 coaches had the same crappy attitude, but with a different twist.

A former shadow of themselves already what a difference a coach makes....all others can pretend but results speak for themselves and this weekend was not pretty. How the heck do we put up 8 on a team and the next game 0?? Something is off already

I don’t know about that yet. Yes they went from 8-2 to not scoring against Penn but definitely played better the second time vs FC Virginia. 5-3 to 1-0. First FCV game coached by SC was a disaster. So call it even this weekend for all the soccer know it alls.

Word from this weekend was very sloppy passing the ball on opportunities to attack, no movement off the ball and defenders not having options to pass or holding the ball too long. I’m interested to see what happens after a full Spring. Can’t judge it until TV gets full season with same team. Time will tell.

Two of their better players didn’t make the trip. They will be fine.

Do you think that group stays with STA or follows SC over to Dynamite? Would they even qualify for NL? They wouldn’t have any qualification record?

They definitely go, starting to see the sign already (kids not showing up, disinterested in games and practices etc.), but with that said I’m sure a few will stay. Also hope it reopens the door for original STA players to make the team since they were shut out via back room SC deal.

Absolutely true and tells you all you need to know about GDA, when clubs can’t even field teams without deals, breaking rules and nonsense like this. Wonder if the GDA should even continue to exist but that’s another debate for another day.

Or they weren’t good enough. Based on the 04 and 03 USYS teams they wouldn’t be good enough. Those teams were losing to MF third team. That’s not going to cut it at the DA level. Maybe they brought SC in because the talent pool wasn’t there?

I can tell you one thing. The college coaches were there in droves at the da games

And as I’ve said in the past. The college coaches don’t waste their time. They only come if there’s talent to see

What does college coaches attending showcases have to do with teams not being able to attract enough players to play GDA??? Tells you that even if what you say is true there is a problem there. At Penn Fusion there were a lot of GDA teams playing with no subs or 1-2 max....I guess these players don’t want to be seen by hundreds of college coaches....
