What value is this for you? If you know a player on the team they have access to the roster.

why do they even post these rosters at all? Does not help the players. no college coach is trolling rosters. they want to see kids that express interest in their programs. I wish they would not have these rosters available.

And now we know why they were waiting to the last minute to put them up. those 17 and 18/19 rosters are scary low in numbers. Those teams are one injury away from a forfeit. I'm guessing the rumors were true. They just couldn't attract players to the older age groups

Honestly, because I find it amusing that those parents who laughed at us for staying with ECNL are now finding their precious daughters playing with kids who couldn't make the 3rd teams at our club. Who cares what league your kid is in and who cares if there is a club whos roster is small. We can start the whole DA vs ECNL conversation again and it will go round and round like they all do. Enjoy ECNL. I hope those in DA enjoy their experience.....and by the way Coke is better than Pepsi

Believe it or not, there are people who are interested in the development of soccer in the broader sense in the US rather than just their kid alone and the behaviors of these ‘leading’ clubs (STA, PDA, Matchfit) unfortunately set the tone for the state and trickle down to the smaller clubs.

Kind of a weird coincidence that less than 24 hours after I asked why the rosters weren’t on the DA site that they appeared.

So new uncomfortable question for you, why are there 10 players on the U14 DA roster who still appear on the USYS National League roster? Is it inefficiency, incompetence, or ignoring the rules? I’d like to be optimistic and think that it's just that the coaches haven’t had time to update their rosters over the past two months but John Newman is involved so we can’t rule out any intentional rule-bending/breaking.

Hmmm...I'm not buying it Dom. Once you put Matchfit in your "leading clubs" category you lost me. Replace them with World Class and maybe some people will take this seriously.

However, I think you are on to something with asking about rosters and then they appear. You may be the major force that takes U.S. Soccer to the next level by digging deep into these critical topics. NEXT.

You didn't stay with ECNL, you just weren't asked to move to the DA by the other parents.

They weren't laughing at you, that was sighs of relief that they wouldn't see you again.

No deflection and there is nothing uncomfortable in what your asking. Its just typical Troll nonsense. But i will feed the Troll. Me personally I don't care about the older ages since my daughter is on one of the younger DA teams. The small roster size for those teams is absolutely the ongoing issue with most kids/parents around the NE not accepting DA and wanting their kid to play in HS. Plain and simple and it will continue to be an issue for those that put HS as a priority. Nothing new here.
As for the rosters online with kids on DA and also showing USYS, I can tell you that none of those kids are doing both. So yes STA is guilty of not updating USYS roster. For the the club as a whole there is zero reason for the DA kids to play down. Most ages are 2 to 4 teams deep with kids on USYS/EDP teams

Nope, northern-ish NJ. I can’t speak to where all the players come from for the whole club but in the ages I pay attention to there’s enough to say that there is an influence in the area.
