And really the coaches should know better, so I assume any coach who wants to see what 12 year olds are doing on instagram is up to no good.

There's your answer...and please don't belabor his behavior we know that already, it's about the numbers above that don't lie. And oh BTW, that doesn't include him bringing up one of (if not the) best player in NJ MK, who yes is gone to CSA Monmouth now but certainly has her roots at some level with Cryer.

Why would you name players on a soccer chat forum? A coach is an adult so go ahead but a kid? You better be her parent but even then, dumb unless you enjoy seeing a kid get raked over the coals on a chat forum. Maybe she will be spared as no one seems to read the NJ forum.

Just to give perspective, WCFC has 3, MFA 21 and PDA 25. So if Cryer can put out more than twice the number of kids WCFC does and basically a third of the kids a known ECNL level club does with him only having an EDP badge at what we'd say is a small club, what can he do at a large club like STA offering development academy.

a) If you want to leverage Match Fit for what they do best (showboating and marketing), join Match Fit at U15-U17. If your current team does not showcase in front of good D1, you will do better at Match Fit. It takes 3-4 games for a good external player to establish a starting spot at Match Fit. The bar is _low_. Sucks for the players that have been with Match Fit for 4-5 years when they are sent to NPL/ECNL Regional squad.
b) Aforementioned clubs are sick and tired of bleeding their players to ECNL clubs that dont really do much development but hold monopoly on showcases. With GDA the tables are turning slowly. GDA showcases, games, and mini showcases (as the one hosted by Penn Fusion) attract the top college coaches and US Scouts. Is a college scholarship or ticket to Ivy league worth passing on HS? How about being on a roster of 18 instead of 26, or having trainers that develop kids instead of having endless scrimmages during practice?Last edited by Beachbum; 04-12-2019, 10:33 AM.

Amen. Just goes to show how corrupt youth soccer is in NJ. The ECNL carrot brings kids in even when the parents know what kind of organization Matchfit is

Heard Shaun has been making phone calls to poach players and they are all turning him down. Shucks that’s terrible
