They definitely go, starting to see the sign already (kids not showing up, disinterested in games and practices etc.), but with that said I’m sure a few will stay. Also hope it reopens the door for original STA players to make the team since they were shut out via back room SC deal.

Are most on that STA USYS team that lost by 8 goals vs the STA DA team a week ago? Shut out or couldn’t make the team?

It was horror show for them.

Definitely not a good weekend for sure but played FCV better then during the season. They got smacked vs FCV last game. Wasn’t even close.

Absolutely true and tells you all you need to know about GDA, when clubs can’t even field teams without deals, breaking rules and nonsense like this. Wonder if the GDA should even continue to exist but that’s another debate for another day.

Better platform for development across country vs HS. That’s it. Not for all players.

Classless post I’m sure the club loves having people like you around....posting the score of a scrimmage and bragging about should make you feel so much better. I guess we now know how bad the USYS team is and how good and mighty the DA team is.

Sorry my kid is on USYS team. We are not even close to that team. That’s OK though. Something for everyone at STA. Let’s not pretend that our team can compete in DA.

What does college coaches attending showcases have to do with teams not being able to attract enough players to play GDA??? Tells you that even if what you say is true there is a problem there. At Penn Fusion there were a lot of GDA teams playing with no subs or 1-2 max....I guess these players don’t want to be seen by hundreds of college coaches....

I know it’s better to be on a team that has 18 on the roster ( or 20 at pda or 28 at mfa)
And not play a lot than on a team with 13 infront of a lot of coaches.

No they have foolish parents who think playing hs is beneficial to development. I don’t think the pda strikers parents agree anymore. Seem to blame losing at icc on their kids playing hs.

You know what they are partially correct.

The point really is that the college coaches know where to look to find the top
Players. And it isn’t where your kid is playing ( or sitting the bench if that’s the car)

The funny thing about STA is they literally had to recruit the entire DA program from other clubs because Tom was so bad at developing players they weren’t good enough to play in the DA.

And everyone at STA knows it, whether they will admit it or not.

Tim will tell everyone what they want to hear. He should try learning how to make really good players

TV will be stretched very thin without SC there. He may be fighting a losing battle with 05s, but if his 04s suffer then it will be a double whammy.

Do you understand that you just quoted, and responded to, a parent of that USYS team, and then completely insulted said team?

Serious question (that I doubt I will get an honest answer to)...if you were face to face with that same parent, would you say the same thing?

I’m guessing the answer would be no. You know why? Because that would make you a psychopath.

My suggestion: Don’t hide behind a computer screen. If you (and your daughter) are that miserable, you have the ability to change your situation right now. Leave. While, deep down, that might seem scary, have that courage and conviction to follow through with the way you obviously feel.

Don’t stay, and then do everything in your power to poison the well.

If you stay, know that what you say...on a public message board, or on the sidelines, or to your daughter in the car going to a game, has an affect. Don’t be part of the problem. This isn’t about YOU. Or the previous coach. Or the current coach. It’s about the girls out on the field. Don’t ruin it for them. For all our sakes.
