Why would anyone want to stay if they are not playing. The team might be awesome but if your kid plays no part in the awesomeness, there is no reason to stay. There is a lot of travel and expenses to play on these teams. It has to be worth it in my opinion. Playing time is important. Why would anyone want to travel hours to play a game and see 10-15 mins per half. (Or less for some) that’s just stupid. Put your kid where they will thrive.

I have absolutely have no issues with any player leaving a team for whatever reasons but I do find it ridiculous that a family leaving due to inadequate playing time will resort to impugning the reputation of an entire club, just like a scorned lover, jumping on every TS thread to post outrageous claims bordering on outright nonsense. I agree game playing time is very relevant to player’s development and it’s reasonable for players not playing enough mins to move on to another team where they can. Classy individuals make such decisions frequently and do so without opting to INSULT the remaining players, coaches, and other personnel from their former club. I have had my share of former clubs with my kids and in no instance did I ever burn the house down after leaving. I subscribe to Live and Let Others Live!

If poor training results in a team having a 19-0-1 record I think other youth soccer teams will happily resort to the same “poor training” approach

Of course there are people… oops I meant GHOSTS of anonymous MFA players who can speak poorly of the club but won’t put their name to it lol… speaks volume about the character of such GHOST players doesn’t it? People are entitled to their opinions and ultimately are allowed to leave the club if they feel so negatively about it. What is the essence of washing your dirty underwear in the public if you’re convinced it’s not salvageable? Intelligent people don’t waste time with nonsensical acts.

2 good players who were starters left the team each to join pda 2012 and 2011 teams. The other 3 players are decent but average players.
