I wish we could say the complaining would be useful to someone and perhaps help others make a decision, but that’s not usually the case.

Funny thing is that this entire thread was started by someone trying to get feedback on MF for a younger kid and whether the program was worth it at the younger ages. I wonder what that poster ended up doing.

Pretty simple if you don’t like it leave and find an environment that is enjoyable and rewarding for you and your kid. The league name or status should not have anything to do with that and if it does then it’s your own fault, so no reason to complain on these forums.

Interesting take. Could even be valid if Matchfit didn't promote the ECNL as the top leavue, proven pathway, etc.. If folks, and I'm talking to you MF coaches who are posting on here lately don't like the reviews that's just too bad. Don't read it.

For the parents concerned with club you have every right to express yourselves on a public forum. You people should be ashamed of yourselves.

Seems like there is 100 pages raising valid concerns. The responses of late are weak compared to the complaints.

Now go fill up those generators.

check out PDA, WC, STA Cedar Stars....are they posting about every kid in college or every kid doing cartwheels and eating cupcakes. Or even better, the DOC on a bench during a game looking at his phone?

I still ask what the proven pathway is recently though. As a parent...when you say they have ECNL and this is getting my kid somewhere, where is it that MF is getting their players?

They chuck their own teams, and destroy their own players.

All the names thrown a few posts before - weren’t they ‘Montclair Colchesters’ and then moved at U14 to Match Fit? What happened to the old U14 team?

similarly, about 1/2 the names on the ‘alumni’ page from Montclair are easily recognizable as PSA(IGFA) or SDFC or TSF or Crush players. They get their development elsewhere and come in for the showcase.

Most horrific practices that someone said were ‘common’ (which I don’t really believe):
- bringing in a bunch of players mid season to help qualify for a North America cup.
- bringing in players just for a showcase (as those living in Pennsylvania or Delaware)
