I hated the constant re-scheduling of games and TBDs in EDP/USYS.

So relegation/promotion will really only happen with whole clubs. Ideally they would have more movement each year and season with ECNL being Tier 1, ECRL tier 2 and NPL tier 3 to take some of the stigma off. Right now if an ECNL club got relegated, it would be a death sentence for that club, which just shows the relative monopoly effect right now. If you had a 16-20 teams in a conference and the bottom 2 get relegated each year, it’s less damaging because there is more overall club competition. I actually dont think watering down the whole system with more clubs is a bad thing. It would prevent bad behavior from clubs because it allows for options and takes some element of power away from "certain" clubs.
You are misunderstanding. I think the regional teams will be separated from their national league teams. By that I mean PDA Blue will only travel with their NL teams. National league will NEVER be promotion relegation.
The way it appears they are willing to let anyone into regional league in the area says to me it will eventually be relegation/promotion with regional areas.
Just thoughts… if not what do you think they are doing with this north east group that overlaps different regions

I think RL will get restructure to make travel less. I don’t think there will be relegation though unless it’s a whole club moving.

Then it’s not club v club anymore bc North Atlantic RL and New England RL will break up to accommodate less travel for all including Northeast

This debate never ends. There are Too many leagues, watered down divisions and clubs. Until it’s all blown up and reinvented TS will continue to spew negativity.

Agree. There are too many leagues and not a fan. NJ has plenty of good teams to create a premier bracket.

Of course its still club v club. You are still playing 2-3 age groups in the fall and 7-8 in the spring vs the other clubs RL teams. You just arent mirrored to the NL teams anymore. This is the way the RL works in basically every other conference.

but no club ever gets relegated and they keep adding new ones. At some point they will all stink

Bottom line ECNL RL provides players the opportunity to seen by college coaches better than those EDP events, and including GA events. I left GA for ECNL RL, i saw the lack of coaches that attended GA events.
