    Girls Academy Relegation

There are some really bad teams in the Northeast. Are there any plans to improve the overall competition?

Youth soccer is about money not fairness and promotion , parents pay to play and clubs pay to play in leagues

this is the exact reason why I am considering having my daughter go back to playing more local. All the money we spend. For what??

Girls academy is a dying league . Ecnl has completely taken over youth soccer on the girls side . Any competitive club is our is trying to be an ecnl club . Don’t get that fooled with the ECRL because it’s apples and oranges !!

Funny that you actually think the North Atlantic isn’t the exact same trash. It’s the same thing. It’s not more competitive. It just makes certain teams feel better about charging families for wins.

So if you don’t get selected into an ECNL team then the only choice is to quit because nothing else matters. Good thought process.

Who would win in the 2011 NJ GA Vs ECNL toilet bowl? Cedar Stars Bergen or PDA White?

Is GA not a second to ECNL? I mean not every kid can play ecnl.

                  Where is that written?

and yes, anyone nowadays can play ECNL. The talent pool is spread out. Same with GA. The product is diluted.

People seem to have 0 sense when gauging clubs/teams/leagues. Yes, the TOP of ECNL is far better then any other league nation wide. Now when looking at JUST the North East ECNL you have PDA Blue and Penn Fusion and now Ukies (who just came from GA). The rest aren't any better then most GA clubs. Now, after all that, most of GA and ECNL clubs are still far better then RL or USYS/EDP clubs/teams. To put it into perspective....

Wanna play in college? You should be at least...

Top 50 D1 school or National Qualifier school - Be the top 4-5 on the team on an ECNL playoff caliber team or top 8 team in GA
P4 school - Starter with more then 60% playing time on top half ECNL conference team or playoff caliber GA team
Mid Major - Starter with 50% playing time on any ECNL or GA team
Bottom end D1 - Play on a ECNL or GA team and get 40% playing time

That is a rough estimate, if you aren't hitting those marks ie bench player on an ECNL team then most likely you aren't getting offers for a top 50 D1 school. Yes, there are exceptions and it has happened but don't count on it.

Crapping on GA isn't going to get little Suzie from PDA South on to UNC, maybe UNC Greensboro or Asheville but not a Tar Heel...Sorry.

Truth is, the North East/New England area has some very strong and competitive clubs/teams but doesn't have to many top D1 schools. Most players tend to stay within a 150-200mi radius of home. You have Rutgers, Penn St, Towson, Brown, Bucknell, Princeton, Harvard, and Providence that made the national playoff last year. Brown, Bucknell, Princeton, and Harvard are very difficult to get into in general. Between the NE and NA we have a total of 3 P4 schools (Rutgers, Penn St, Maryland). That is why a majority of the players from most ECNL and GA wind up at the same schools, look at the commits list for EVERY club in both leagues, the read almost exactly the same when you take out the top destinations. PDA gets to over emphasis their commits because of MO being the head coach at Rutgers.

Basically, get over it, neither is better in this area. Anyone saying anything else is trying to sell you something.

Weak conference? 18 of 20 teams in ecrl northeast should be relegated to rec.

Hahah you are not wrong!!! That ECRL conference is the biggest joke!!!! There are many town teams better than half the teams in ECRL northeast.

Look at some score lines- 8-0, 11-0, 12-, 6-0. It’s crazy how lopsided that bracket is.

Youth soccer is becoming a big joke. Not because of the different levels. But because of the low level clubs in this “prestigious” ECRL league that they hype up because of college recruiting. the league is the new EDP. But way more travel and expense.

Let's see if ECNL ever drops teams from their "ELITE" platform for performance reasons (ones in the past have been dropped for political reasons)

NEFC, STA, Oakwood...yeah real weak there. Maybe not as strong as ECNL with SUSA, WC, Stars, and now SSS but still not exactly weak.
