Remember the days when you had to be at least 500 to make the states. Teams are winning 10-0 in beginning rounds. Waste of time for both teams.

My daughter’s team played a team under 500 and the score was out of hand. And that team won their first round atate state game . So not all 500 teams are created equal.

Freehold township lost to a team that was below 500

Relegation and promotion would be interesting. There are some trash leagues out there. CVC is total nonsense with some schools benefiting from constantly playing against low level teams. They have 5 wins built into schedule. Shore is solid. North and South have a variety of teams. Forget the groups and just create a super league within the 4 areas of the state with relegation and promotion to and from the 2nd and 3rd tier teams. Cut the number of games in half and let the top teams battle it out week to week.

Do parents always blame coaches for their kids not being named to all state , all county or all American ? Coaches don’t always have a say in who gets picked for these teams. It’s a shame coaches get blamed and blasted for something they have no say in.
