TBH with the exception of a few teams... Girls soccer at the ECNL level is hard to watch.
Even harder at the levels below that (again - a few random teams are really good).
now imagine a team with ECNL level players and rec players and terrible coaching, terrible administration, low pay for coaches... now you have High School soccer.

It happens in the public schools too. Twice last week parents hosted drinking parties on nights before games. Some parents will do anything to “help” their kid to “fit in”. And then there are the coaches who are aware but don’t care.

While I agree that HS soccer is mostly pretty ugly to watch, there's no question my D cares more about the wins and losses with her HS team than she does with her club team.
