What inability do you feel is hard for a player and or parent to hear from you?

Those are all important and any one of those being a deficiency can stop your kid from getting to a level they want to.

The hardest discussion (by far) for parents to hear is that their daughter is just not good enough! That’s it. The four you mentioned some are innate and has nothing to do with coaching but your DNA and technical.tactical each player has their own ceiling. But, being told that those colleges that are high on their list are at best “reach colleges” and the player is not good enough is tough for some parents to hear and then blame everyone without being realistic.

As a coach I tend to group B and D together and that’s the hardest for players and parents because those who lack the mental side (which leads a lot to lack of tactical understanding) aren’t wired to see that. I feel the majority of players and parents can see the lack of C for sure and mostly A. Often they try to rationalize those are not important which helps me understand they see the deficiency they just can’t or won’t improve it. The mental side just never clicks for so many players.
