Gawd we are so lazy today.
Price some flights, look at a couple of hotels, add in some food costs (which you need to either whether you go or not). Boom, there's your price.

Flights about $500 per person ($1000)
Hotel at ECNL designated hotel about $200 per night ($1400)
Food about $100 per day ($700)
Car rental or Uber ($500)
Car service to/from EWR ($200)
about $4k for two people plus any team activities/sightseeing/booze/etc.

Del Mar, CA is a pricey town. So, food and nights out can get pricey. I agree with the comment above: about $400-$500 per flight per person, you def need a car in Del Mar. Spread out with hills. If you have a pricey hotel in Del Mar middle you can walk to all the fabulous restaurants but fields are off the beat and path. During games we ate at Whole Foods a lot since it was close to fields.
Depending on how many days your team is there it could get about $5k.

Stay in Carlsbad, fantastic town. We went twice, once staying there and once staying in San Diego. Fun area, lots to see and do, what better way to spend a vacation enjoying the sites and watching some ball?
