So what is ECNL's end game?

Ok, let's just say that ECNL cherry picks all of the best teams from GA and it basically folds. They would probably have 13-15 teams in ECNL North Atlantic and another 30-40 teams in various ECRL leagues around the area. Do they make more divisions that cover smaller and smaller areas or do the make levels like ECRL-1 and ECRL-2, ...

They very rarely get rid of teams, so would they just keep growing or just lock down?

At what point is this just NL/EDP?

Wouldn't a true promotion/relegation system make the most sense?

ECNL lost like 500 clubs from the boys side when they went NAL as the 2nd team to the clubs MLSN teams ( last year). That is a HUGE loss of revenues. To make up for it... they have add teams on the girls side (which there aren't many to add). So Quality will go down over time and the big clubs will just start their own league (much like ECNL was created) and play each other. The end game is chase the money til the money leaves.

in a club v club format? Not saying it would be impossible, but would be interesting if someone is willing to do so

You would have to promote/relegate the entire club. Very doubtful for ECNL, but might make sense to tier RL like they do in Texas

Yep. I always find it funny that these club v club leagues have championships based on single teams. Wouldn’t it be cool to have all 6 teams play another club and the combo of the results decides which club goes to the next round
